Come Together

Good start to the day.  A representative from Neff Engineering, our local 8020 distributor, stopped by today to discuss our lift.  He’s been working with FIRST teams around Indiana and southern Michigan, so he understood the game and what we were trying to achieve.  He was fantastic to work with, and we really think we’ve got a solid design on our lift.  We placed an order (2x, since we’re making a practice ‘bot) and hope to build it Saturday or Monday.  Of course there will be pictures!

At the end of the build session, the team leaders got together and talked about their accomplishments and goals.  It was refreshing to hear what all we’ve done, and a bit intimidating to discover what we have left to go.  The big-picture ideas are certainly set, but as they say, the devil is in the details.  We’re going to have to really focus as a group on communicating with each other to make sure we’re all on the same robopage.

We’ve come a long way, and today we realized we’ve got a long way to go.
